ZurückREGISTRATION AND EXPO OPEN

Registration of athletes for the race on Sunday opened today at the Garden Court Hotel in East London. As expected a number of local athletes ventured out to be among the first to gather their packs, chips and backpacks and ensure their place on the starting line. Lucie Zelenkova (CZE) was the first PRO to be spotted going through the registration mill looking lean and eager to keep her hands on the title.

Kevin Garwood and his son Nic – Team Garwood – were also spotted at registration and were seen chatting to Race Director Paul Wolff about their first 70.3 event. Kevin will be racing with his son who has micro-pthalmia. Remember to encourage them when you see them out there on Sunday!

The bulk of the athletes are expected to make their way to registration tomorrow and Saturday morning. The Expo is up and running with athletes popping in and out to get a look and do some last minute shopping.

The PRO Press Conference is scheduled for Friday, 15^th January at 12h30 at the Kennaway Hotel.
